I've had periods where I was working myself to death. Saving lots of money, but doing harm to myself.Trading unnecessary spending for more time away from work is a choice that more people should probably consider. We tend to get 'way too good at working after a while, and work can become the easy thing to do, but can become harmful. This is a really profound statement. I'm working like a maniac at the moment (I'd say a dog, but I don't think dogs work this hard) - saving tons of money, and still enjoying the work.But...I recognize this is not healthy in the long run, and plan on scaling back - probably about five years from now. I don't want to be working this hard in my 50's. Being a barista sounds good for those years.
