I've noticed that many folks here like TurboTax or TaxACT, and don't see many mentions of H&R Block At Home (née TaxCut).

Is that because people don't like the H&R Block product? Or because people are just less familiar with it?

I switched from TurboTax to TaxCut some years ago when DW was still working and we were subject to the AMT. It was unable to handle the AMT version of Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit). So I got my money back and returned to TurboTax, which continued to handle it just fine.
