I've received a lot of those invitations. But I've always thrown them away. I always supposed that they took your contact information and then harassed you like crazy. I really don't want to get on their email or phone list. But is it actually safe to attend these things? (I mean, safe as long you don't buy what they're selling)We've never had any problem with them bugging you. I get many more phone calls from "Card Member Services" than from FAs. So from that standpoint it's safe to go.The big problem is that the presentation they put on is very enticing. It's easy to get sucked in.
