I've used gtkpod and it works. i recall it wanting some fiddling to get it to go, but it worked fine.

Also, Banshee on newer distros seems to be a nicer interface ( but I haven't really looked at any of this software for a long, long time ). see http://banshee-project.org/Main_Page for info and an idea if you can get or compile a version to run on your current distro.
