I've yet to hear ANYONE say "I had a Toyota and it was a POS". Never. You won't hear me say it, but I recall a Toyota Corolla with a giant lemon mounted to its roof rack being driven past its dealer several times daily for about two years until the dealer finally took it back. This was in the seventies. Our primary car is a '98 Volkswagon Passat wagon, bought used in late '99. They are pricey, but they run forever as long as you give them the regularly scheduled maintenance. I'm a firm believer in "German engineering", but it's expensive even for a car that isn't really a status symbol.1HappyFool
