Thanks for all your help on this matter. You are correct in presuming that she is a renter. I appreciate your feedback.

I should also clarify something. Both my girlfriend and I work for the same district, and the $500 that she spent was for her own personal supplies to be used in the classroom, and not for things such as student textbooks, pencils, and the like. I'm assuming that the things she purchased are items such as posters, bulletin board materials, and so on. Actually, our district is one of the top ones in our county in many different areas, possibly even the state (Michigan). Just thought that I would clear that up. Thanks again.
