Jack, Why do you value the two, majority opinions over the possibly, more astute minority opinion? Might not both of them be prey the same that that in food chains prey vastly outnumbers predators? But rather than get bogged down with the ecological metaphor, simply ask this: "How likely is it that, in these times of financial duress, the majority is a rational, dispassionate crowd that is properly discounting information?" What the numbers are is rarely as important as what the numbers mean. Thus, opinion polls are merely raw data that has to be interpreted by informed judgment. C
