JeffI think this is what has happened to automobile deaths (around 30,000/yr), for example, i.e. we have come to accept them. And this is to say nothing about the multiple times more of those who are injured, many with life changing injuries. And we seem to be well on the way to accepting gun deaths and injuries as a way of life. It is only the multiple gun death incidents that get our attention but those comprise only a small fraction of the total, a total that put us at the top of developed countries in gun deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, by a wide margin (http://stopcontinentaldrift.blogspot.com/2012/12/in-aftermat....But selling cars is critical to our countries economy and the gun manufacturers won't go down without a fight, as we are witnessing.
