Jeff,

Please watch what you say and think before you post. I am a single mother and a Christian as well. How could these things go together? I have made mistakes. My children were not the mistakes, sleeping with their fathers was. My children are blessings - all children are!

It is not any person's job to judge others. As an outspoken Chrisian on this board, you are giving the rest of us, who have been forgiven and are not judging others a bad name. Jesus's message is one of forgiveness. Yes, He commands us to turn away from our sins. However, remember Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God".

I know that you probably feel you are speaking the truth. However, speak the truth in love! To me, your post sounds more than a little self-righteous, where the Bible says "There are none that are righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10).

Single moms are the majority of single parents. We are less likely to receive child support than single fathers and less likely to have a co-parenting situation with the fathers of our children. We make huge sacrifices every day to give our kids what they want and need. We do our best to teach our kids and pray they learn from our mistakes. The people posting are asking for help from others because they want to give the best they can to their children. We meet enough criticism every day without hearing it here, where we seek advice from others as well as a place to vent.

You seem like a nice person and are probably a great dad. I am happy that you have found love with your recent remarriage. But it wouldn't be very fair to you if I started hitting you over the head with the sins of your past, and I would not do that - God wouldn't either - if you have truly repented of your wrongs, He doesn't remember your sins, anyway.

Forgiveness is available for anyone, free for the taking, regardless of past actions, feelings, interactions with others. Frankly, I don't care what you or others think of me. I am sinless in His sight through the power of His Son.
