Greetings, Grape and thanks for the comparison between the two companies. Recently, I was reviewing the proposed prospectus and really became confused by the references to the MFC being a Canadian firm. As I understand it, after the merge, the dividends will be paid to U.S. stockholders in U.S. dollars. What I didn't understand was the references to a Passive Foreign Investment Company and what implications there might be should I ever sell that stock at some point down the road? Also, I'm still trying to decide which would be better, sell the stock now at $40.80 or vote for the merger based on JHF $38.43?
Any suggestions?
