NEW YORK - Former star technology banker Frank Quattrone was sentenced Wednesday to 18 months in prison plus two years probation after his conviction for obstruction of justice.

He also was fined $90,000.

Probation officials had recommended five months in prison and five months home confinement. The government had asked for a harsher sentence, arguing Quattrone lied when he testified he did not intend to obstruct justice....
