Just a note - you were ranting that Ameridebt's information didn't state anything about the little "contribution." I just today received their application forms in the mail, and in the middle of the two full pages of small print they send you (yes, I actually read it) they state that there is an opening "non-refundable contribution of 3% of the total of balances being applied to the program" (not those exact words but close). It also says there is a month fee of $6 per account on the program.
I was all gung-ho about signing up until I read this small print.. I was ok with the $6/month, as the rates they told me I would supposedly get would save me about $100/month in interest.. but I DON'T think I can justify shelling out $300.. and this is BEFORE they talk to the CCC's and find out what they can do!
