hi,

just a quick note to ask if it makes sense to have another mini-project for a local disadvantaged school(s) in a largely low-income neighborhood? i could ask the principal for their wish-lists, put it on amazon.com and people can just buy books for them if they want, or whatever...

the school is in Northern California, a school called Garfield Elementary or Fair Oaks elementary. It's kinda weird because it is right next to a really high-end neighborhood, yet has the lowest scores in town since it is largely populated my 1st generations immigrants and low-income folks. Basically, the corner of the school is also used by the local day laborers, if that gives you a feel for the place.
