Just discovered the board here and not sure if anyone is still reading, but I thought I would pass by and just say "hello."

The family I was born in would easily qualify as dysfunctional in different ways. Later, the family I bonded with as my adult family/ies (created) also dysfunctional, but typically had its own ways of coping and being supportive.

As alia (Queen Alia) says, for me therapy over the years has been a huge help and especially remembering my own (and others!) boundaries. I *heart* boundaries too and when I forget about them, I get into trouble, or cause an avalanche of a mess.
