Just like you are deciding on the meaning of these words and are not understanding the ideas that I was trying to convey.

Fine, we all decide what a word means to us, agreed. But the fact remains that if i look at something and say "frubolinker" in the midst of a crowd, everyone will turn and look at me funny. But if i turn to any English-speaking person and ask if they have any lotion handy, they will answer "yes" or "no," with a good enough idea regarding what i meant that if they DO have any and are willing to share, i know what they will give to me. It may be one of a hundred different varieties of lotion, but all those varieties have certain traits in common that qualify them as "lotion." Meaning.
