Just please confirm those addresses before adding them to your list - they have NOT legitimately opted in prior to being confirmed. Also, if anyone ever tells you they have purchased an "opt-in" list, they are either a liar or a fool. In either case, you don't want anything to do with their list - it is dirty, by definition.

Each of her customers will have to specifically go to the website and subscribe to the receive e-mail updates about events and sales at her store. Please know that she is not buying a list of potential customers. I would certainly want no part in a spamming operation. The suggestions I've received so far look excellent. I need to speak with her more about who her hosting provider is and what other services she gets with her hosting contract along with a few other details about the hosted environment.

Her website was developed by another individual (also a customer), but that needs to be re-worked as well. Hopefully I'll have some free time this summer and I can teach myself some new scripting languages and make a really cool site.

Just wanted to ease your mind about the worries of spamming innocent folks. I would like to decrease the spam coming into my inbox as well, so I certainly wouldn't want to help out someone who wishes to send out more spam!
