Just thinking if I call repair guy it's $150 and if I replace it's $400, probably, so...should I just get a new one with a warranty, write it off?

Rental quality dishwashers are cheaper to just toss/replace than to fix... bad for the environment, (*or* you can swallow the costs for the envirnment ;~)

Might be able to give away the old unit on Craigslist to hobby tinkerers.
