Keep going till we're all in. Allow Medicare to negotiate drug pricing. In the meantime, keep the limits on Insurance company profits.

Spoken just like leftists......more government that will of course be accompanied by more taxation that you have no personal responsibility for.......that will fix everything.....equality for all.

And yet, Medicare has not been “solvent” since when again....4 decades”??....and predicted to run out of money in 2030 based on present utilization and payroll tax rates?

The amount you pay into the system through your taxes doesn’t come close to what you cost the system....its the great ponzi scheme of the last several generations.

Furthermore, as I called out Alan about, many providers depend on non-Medicare insurances......don’t even accept Medicaid:

And hospitals claim they could never survive on Medicare:

Hospitals say Medicare rates don’t begin to cover what they actually spend on medical care.

Hospitals demand commercial rates 140% of greater from commercial insurances to balance the low payments from least they claim.

50% of all health care dollars go to the 5% hyper-users......37% of healthcare dollars goes to hospitals and facilities. Obviously these two categories would be where the main efforts should be directed IMO.

Yet, the Hospital Associations are among the most powerful lobbying organizations in the nation and have actively purchased physicians to keep their stranglehold on highest medical costs possible.....not just through their facilities but now also through the highest doctors rates (and accompanying test costs) in the land. Only about 1/3 of doctors are now independent.....the remainder working for institutions with an inherent bias to drive costs to pay for the ivory towers of the Hospital systems.

Go after the the hospitals and the hyper-users, that is where the savings are. But to keep feeding the beast that has costs driven up because of you....demanding ever more services and prolongation of futile services and control by the very institutions driving those costs (hospitals) wont be able to tax the rich enough......but you will feel altruistic.....though completely mistaken......and the next generation will again be burdened by your inability to face this demon as you pass the check to them to pay for your will not be remembered as the “great” generation for sure.

But that is the leftist way.....pass the burden to someone else to pay.
