Keep in mind that those pros work for companies that sell you the bonds. The two deep discount brokers I have worked with still charge upwards of $50 to buy each individual bond. Given the fact that the bonds pay pretty low percentages anyway, and the fact that you're going to have to buy quite a few to get some diversification, this makes them too expensive for the amount I would want to spend on them.
