Here's a few tips offered for those who would like to see fewer pesky cyclists on our city streets:

* Try to makeake driving a large fuel-guzzling, cancer-promoting, automobile seem somehow glamorous.

* Place pylons in construction lanes so close to lanes as to leave no room for cyclists.

*Ignore all road rules about giving cyclists any space when passing.

* Give all the rights of the roadway to automobile drivers - after all, they pay more to pollute - don't they?

* Force cyclists to take special safety classes and make them get permits for their bikes, or to ride in the city.

* Make them wear helmets to make cycling even less appealing and more expensive. Helmet laws won't just discourage cycling, they'll enable us to blame the cyclist if he/she doesn't have one of those useless contraptions on his, or her head.

* Employ tax revenues to build more large thoroughfares for those huge-unsafe-at-any-speed-polluters in an effort to make the streets more dangerous for cyclists.

* Never build any bicycle paths to encourage cycling.

Hey, with a little imagination I bet we can add to this list.
