Kerouac,

You don't even really know the exact interest rates and minimum payments on your cards????

Now would be the time to check. And if you have missed a couple of payments, for heaven's sake get those things current! You do NOT need even higher rates, late fees, and collectors calling you. Oh, and once something is sent to collections, that too is on your report for 7 years and it is really ugly. Not as ugly as BK or settlement (that is, if the collections account is PAID), but still very damaging.

You've been so hazy about where that other $1000/mo is going and exactly what your payments and interest rates really are. If you don't know this stuff now, what's going to keep you in the black even after you file? Seems to me you'll be at pretty high risk for winding up right back where you started.

hoping to hear the full story,

Mare
