a) Lignite coal is not a fungible commodity when used a raw material in terms of chemistry. If you want to burn it for energy, fine, get the coal from anywhere; but where the particular chemistry is critical--absolutely no, you cannot just source your raw material from anywhere in the world and expect to maintain the consistency the quality of your product. Yongye has said repeatedly that the coal from this region is very well-suited for its processes. And Yongye has also been clear that it its primary purpose in investing in the mine is not to reduce costs but rather to secure access to coal from this particular region to ensure the viability of its manufacturing process.

b) Yongye has said repeatedly that it will not mine the coal itself; it will contract out the mining to a mining company.
