I started my landscaping project yesterday... only etching out about 1/2 hour of time.(Which was better than nothing, right?) In just that short stint, my arms are soar, and not the good kind of soar, the kind where you hurt for a couple of months type of soar... tendonitis. I didn't feel that I tore anything, but there was just enough pain to take two ibuprofin last night; something I haven't had to do in a while. Today I'm going to move the rock bed, and dig a 7" deep by 2 foot wide by 50 foot long trench for the retaining wall I'll be putting up. Needless to say, I'll be wearing my elbow guards to hopefully not make them worse. I like the exercise, saving the money, the feeling of accomplishing something, and being outside; but not the pain that goes with it. By the way, pulling rock into a pile for 10 minutes with a garden rake will give you one heck of a good ab work out!
Today I'm happy to report that I weighed in at 166 lbs; a 3 lb. loss in the last 8 days. On leg day, I hit the wall and had to have an extra meal; other than that, the week went fine.
If you're still reading, I hope YOU are doing well; that you woke up refreshed, and ready to enjoy a nice weekend. Don't worry about tomorrow till tomorrow. Focus on today, and what you should be doing. If you don't do what you should be doing, then all you'll have is a frustrated dream; and probably feel depressed. So whats stopping you? Some type of fear that you have? Sometimes I have so many things to do that I don't do any of them; its just too overwhelming. When I get super stressed, I can at times cave in, and start to feel sorry for myself. Talk about emotionally stepping backwards! I heard an old saying not long ago that went something like this... "You may as well love yourself, because you are going to have to live with yourself for the rest of your life." Our worst enemy at times can be ourselves. Don't beat yourself up for the mistakes you make; just learn from them and move on! Today is a new day! Focus on your successes in life and not your mistakes; focus on those who love you; not those who don't.
Its not what you CAN do that makes a difference; its what you WILL do that makes a difference.
Till next time my friend!
