P.S. Planned funds (only want to do 4, to make it simple): (Large - (Vanguard 500) VFINX ), Mid - (Mid Cap Index Investor Fund) VIMSX), Small -( Small Cap Index Investor Fund) NAESX), Foreign -(Total International Stock Index) VGTSX).

Why bother with 1 to 3? Just buy the Total Stock Market Indexer, VTSMX.

I would do VTSMX, VEXMX (which is VTSMX less the S&P 500), VGTSX, and VGSIX (The REIT Index). Maybe split equally, 25% each. Or lighten up on the REIT if you like. (There is some overlap in that VTSMX includes the VEXMX: Both have small-and mid-caps, but my mix automatically lightens up on the large cap a bit.)

VGSIX 25%.
