Last month, I noticed that my APR dropped from 29.99% to 24.99% without me calling to ask for it. (They have turned me down every time I have called.) I was so dumbfounded, that all I could do was repeat over and over to my DH -

"IT went DOWN!?!" "IT went DOWN!?!" "IT went DOWN!?!"

I know it's not a great rate, but it sure was a step in the right direction. Especially since our CC debt is now down to $5K - all on ATT. We want to refinance the high rate on one of our car loans - so opening a new account and processing a BT will likely have an adverse effect on our already abysmal FICA score (580).

I called them last night and explained that I have been a customer since 1993, and they are my only card, but I do get 2-3 offers in the mail each day for amazing rates, so what can you do for me? They lowered the rate to 17.99% and said that if I call back next month they may be able to lower it even further.

Great job K2Bfool! Keep up the great work! A 12% point drop? That will do amazing things to your debt reduction plan.
