Last night was one more example. The required passion was there. Matthews got his tingle back. Yet, left, center, and right pundits as well as the general public overall cringed with what they heard. As the author said above, I too think their world is about to turn upside down.Somethin's happenin' here. You could see the tide turn with the Tea Party and the Obamacare debacle. libs laughed all the way up to the 2010 midterm shellacking. But then they went back to laughing. On this board our question at the time was, "Can that kind of momentum be maintained and extended until November, 2012?" I think there was a real danger that it couldn't, had Obama pulled a Clinton and at least made a token effort to work with the GOP.But he didn't, did he? Instead he and his suckups doubled down on their condescension and name-calling. All we really needed was that plus a couple of signature moments to punctuate it. For my part, I think we hit that point when Obama gave his famous "You didn't build that" speech. I think Mitt is saving that line for the last debate as it's a wonderful one-liner to use in the final set of closing arguments.
