Last summer I did this for about three months - I pretty religiously quit eating sugar and white flour although I did indulge in the *occasional* cookie or ice cream cone. I lost 12 pounds - but more surprisingly, my cholesterol count dropped 30 points. I'm not kidding! (I had before and after bloodwork done and the only thing I changed was my eating habits.)

Problem is - changing my eating habits to eliminate lots of carbs but beef up my protein intake made it difficult to LBMM as far as our food expenditures went. Carbs are cheap; protein sources generally aren't. Any tips for LBYM from other carb-watchers out there?
