Last year I discovered my grocery bill ballooned to almost $2000 one month. I couldn't figure out why. It turned out that my brother-in-law was selling our groceries to his friends for beer.He discovered that if he cooked up a few dinners before I got home, and invited all his friends over to watch the basketball game/movie/whatever and dinner, that they would bring a six pack or two each. Considering he drinks about 3-4 packs a day, this was giving him his beer for free.So I had to ban his "friends" from my house and the grocery bill dropped back to normal. Before that he took my wife's Shell gas card when he discovered he could charge beer and cigarettes on it at the mini-mart. I discovered this after I got my new "much higher" gasoline bill. I asked Shell to prevent any non-gasoline purchases on it, but they can't do that.It is always a battle...
