Last year was only Nabokov's 2nd season? I thought he'd been around a little longer that...

I guess the glory seasons <extreme sarcasm> are all bluring together after the melt down last year. Calder Trophy 2000-2001.

Drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the ninth round (219th overall) of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Nabokov exploded onto the NHL scene in 2000-01. That season, Nabokov captured the Calder Trophy -- given to the League's top rookie -- and earned a trip to the All-Star Game by going 32-21-7 with a 2.19 goals-against average.
