Late to this thread, so hope that I am not rehashing, but what was the thought behind paying cash for the degree and financing furnishings?


Frankly, I should have stood up to her and said that we would furnish the place once we had saved up. I'd already spent our cash on her degree at that point. She really wanted to furnish it immediately and I knew we could do it at 0% or close and thought we could pay it off in time, so I just relented. In hindsight, that was stupid. very stupid.
