Can anyone offer any creative ideas for this situation: I own 26 acres/2 cabins adjacent to my owner occupied 36-acre farm. I am co-founder & President of a non-profit org and am allowing the use of the cabins/26 acres strickly by the non-profit. My cost thus far, purchase and improvements, is about $225,000. I can't afford to donate the property title outright to the org, as I think of it as a long term retirement investment. Can I write off anything at all for it's useage, or do something creative on paper that would be best for both worlds?
