Leave aside his personal views and behavior for a moment, you apparently do not know who Prem Watsa was/is?If you had been a shareholder of his when he started "imitating" Buffett, I don't think you would be complaining. Since his primary investment vehicle was insurance, he has sometimes gotten the moniker "Canadian Buffett", and for the 20 years he has been managing his company, he has delivered great returns. On the other, there was perhaps a touch of humor in the dividend comment that got taken out of context.That said, just because one has, or makes, a ton of money, does not indicate a class act. Unlike Buffett, Watsa's comments seem to indicate prestige and comfort mean a lot to him.
