Let me put in a word in favor of strength building exercises, too. They help you avoid losing muscle tone and bone mass with aging, among other benefits -- like looking better in your clothes and out maybe.

Yesterday I lied to the bicycle-like machine prior to a five-minute fitness test. Claimed to be 50 years old when I'm 60. (He chortles.) Even so, the machine evaluated my fitness as "above average". (He looks slightly self-satisfied.) Working on either getting a higher fitness evaluation or lying even more about my age.
