Let's let anarchy rule, then there would be much motivation to 'do better'. You'd have to get better at defending yourself, since others would likely want to 'do better' by taking your food, shelter, valuables. There's a serious flaw in taking this logic as any kind of pure societal methodology.


"Anarchy is people quiting because they no longer need to work to survive. Your point lacks reality."

Look up the definition of anarchy. It would be the perfect expression of an environment providing motivation to 'do better'. My point is that the 'motivation to do better' cannot be the only goal.

"And yes, I agree that most of the "freebies suck", but people don't know that or realize it until it's too late."

Too late for what?
