Let's say you had 3 years left until you retire. Don't you think that in that 3 year time period, the NASDAQ will gain some of that 67.4% back?

Don't forget that if it has dropped 67.4%, it would have, starting now, to gain 207% to get back to its peak. That's one of the misleading aspect of using percent changes (despite all the good things the Fool says about using percentage).
