Well, the market sure doesn't like the merger. Bonz and CRSS both were down in the area of 20% today. Personally, I think the loss is magnified even more for Bonz since it beat earnings estimates by so much.

Anybody have any ideas why? They are both medical companies. My only guess is that Cross seems to focus on physical treatment of spinal injuries, whereas Interpore is producing a product which promotes healing -- both medical, but maybe in very different areas. Maybe the market is seeing this as what Peter Lynch calls "diworsification". I really have no idea though, and would love to hear from somebody who has a better take on what is going on.
