Let's turn a blind eye to the economy?

Sorry, it's our leader's responsibility to create a good environment for growth. Perhaps a few years after the fiscal cliff jump we would be better off, but in the meantime the economy would plummet and our citizens would suffer and even die because of the dramatic fall in the economy. Not a good idea.
