Hello gang!

Mike heard about Liquid Audio last Friday on television. It's just been trading a couple days now. Following is a short description copied from
Charles Schwab. I don't believe you can access the article unless you have an account with them, but I'm not sure. Some of what it said follows:

Liquid Audio services enable music merchants to integrate digital music downloads into their
branded online music stores and sell them alongside physical goods. Participating retailers are billed
monthly for songs sold. Liquid Audio services are powered by Liquid(TM) System software, which
provides the e-commerce, security, and sound quality to power Internet music sites. The Liquid
System product line delivers rights reporting, watermarking and encryption capabilities so that
merchants can sell and consumers can safely buy legitimate music online. The software enables
Liquid Audio services to support the digital delivery of music in many leading formats including Dolby
Digital, AAC, and soon, MP3 with the Genuine Music mark.
Liquid Audio, Inc. is a leading provider of software and services for the digital delivery of music
over the Internet. The Liquid Audio solution gives musicians, record labels, Web sites and music
retailers the ability to publish, syndicate and securely sell recorded music online with copy protection
and copyright management. Using the Liquid(TM) Player software, available for free download at, music fans can preview and purchase downloadable music from the more than
200 affiliate Web sites in the Liquid(TM) Music Network. Traded on Nasdaq under the symbol LQID,
Liquid Audio is located in Redwood City, California.

Do any of you know about this company? Cheers! Arlene
