I know very little about what goes on behind the scenes of my Apple Firewall/security/newwork, etc. However I do know not to launch anything that just pops up and asks for admin permission.

Having said that I saw that Little Snitch is on sale for 50% off:

Is anyone here using it to effect? It sounds like it might cause more confusion than security if it constantly is making you aware of network requests. Are Apple's security measures sufficient or does Little Snitch offer additional needed security?

Thanks,

Bill
