I'm muddling around in Excel, figuring out stuff bit by bit, doesn't seem a very intuitive program, but I'm an artist, not an accountant. Any suggestions you or anyone else has for the beginner is welcome. Last night I managed to set up separate worksheets that will add up my grocery, gas and dining receipts and dump them into the budget in the right place, and I'm feeling very proud of myself, thank you ; )

I'm not buying new software because I have an ancient computer and would have to buy a new one to have a current operating system that would be compatible with most new software. So I'll just keep trying to learn Excel since I have it already.

Thanks everyone for the help.
