Loans are not allowable assets inside of an IRA. It is a prohibited transaction.

After 13 years in the business, I've only seen one plan accept a transferred loan. Most new employers don't want the hassle of payroll deduction payments for a loan that originated somewhere else. Also, a number of plans don't allow loans. Don't pin your hopes here.
