Long Post

I'm interested to hear of anyone's experience with Pulaski as well. I've gotten an application, and I can tell you that a gold MasterCard will run you $50, whereas a clasic Visa is $35 (unless you live in Arkansas, $25). I filled out the app., which was like applying for a car loan with a new bank (proof of income, credit references, etc.) -not like your typical pre-aproved offer.

As soon as I mailed my app. I noticed in the fine print "Pulaski has in the past sold and assigned all or part of its credit card portfolio...(it) reserves the right to do so again....The purchaser may elect to offer account terms and conditions which differ from those offered by Pulaski and which may include an Annual Percentage Rate which is substantially higher....

Makes a Fool wonder, "am I going to get my spiffy new 7.99% credit card and six months later find myself reassigned to a Bank that wants to charge me 18%?"

I've taken the plunge, and unless someone posts a "wait, don't do it", I'll transferr from my 11.9% credit union card (which I will keep for insurance).
