Donna writes in her posting that she doesn't want inflation protection because inflation right now is practically nil. While that may be a true statement about the CPI, it is not true of assisted living/nursing facilities. The annual increase in the cost of these facilities is what inflation protection in a long term care policy is all about. Current annual increase in the cost of these facilities is about 4%. In my opinion the annual increase in cost of care will continue to rise at lest that much, probably more.
