I would like to give a big thank you to all that have posted old messages in this group about VUL's. I skimmed through the las couple of months and found out some very helpful information. I was going to put my money in one because I was "lured" by the tax savings. Thank you for helping me realize a single man in the military, with no kids, that makes less than 35K a year, and HAS a good life insurance policy sponsored by Uncle Sam not throw his money away on more insurance. Instead, invest Foolishly!

I'm glad you avoided the VUL trap.

Kind of makes you wonder about the ethics and honesty of the agent that tried to sell you that sick puppy.
