Lots can go wrong, when you choose a President who puts people in charge who can not figure out how to make smarter cuts than this

Of course. With you it's "Republican whack-a-mole." No matter what the cuts are, there's always something else that should have been done instead. Meanwhile, half the people deciding on what the cuts are are civil servants who came in during Republican administrations.

Isn't it incredibly embarrassing to have to cover for someone this inept? Or is it such a habit you just can not help it

Hmmm. John Boehner doesn't even know Obama has a specific plan on the table (as he alleges, and was corrected by David Gregory) and the Republicans have refused to even discuss it. When it comes to "habit you cannot help" it is clear that it's the Reoublicans with the problem, and luckily the American public is finally, belatedly, at last noticing.
