This isn't going to make the opponents of the Affordable Care Act happy. New York has announced individual health insurance premiums will fall as much as 50% under the new health insurance exchanges. They attribute this to (1) the increase in people buying the insurance and (2) the increased competition among insurers for that business. So CA wasn't just an isolated case. Ironically this may be the free market at work to reduce prices, which the GOP should love, but they've already staked out their unequivical opposition to everything.
