First of all I just want to say this site rules! Anyway, after reading some posts, I was inspired to call one of my cards to try and get my interest rate lowered. I was expecting to have to hard nose and bullshit with them, but actually it was extremely painless. I said I'd like to get my rates lowered because I received a better offer, but if they could just "lower my rates so I wouldn't have to transfer that'd be great." Boom. They instantly lowered it from 18.13% to 11.99%. It really makes me wonder just how much they must be ripping their 'customers' off. But hey...I guess if people are willing to pay then why the hell shouldn't they? I'm going to take care of the rest of my cards tomorrow morning!
