Greg, now I'm confused. Computers are my brother Jeff's gig, not mine. Jeff advised me to replace the hard drive.

Now PSUEngineer is talking about the processor and you are suggesting that I scrap the whole thing.

I also have to ask about the software, since a new hard drive in the same computer would take the old software, while a new computer would require me to buy new software (please correct me if I'm wrong).
