With the early planning you've done, I feel safe in speaking for the entire board in saying that you're forgiven.
SPL - aren't you about retired? You need to stop worrying about the small stuff <g>.

Actually, there are so many engineers on this board, a group famous for not being able to spell, that I imagine most didn't even notice.

The others are right - save what you can but enjoy the journey. Just don't get suckered into thinking you need a McMansion, zippy car, designer clothes, etc. There will be many pushing you in that direction - just be strong and ignore them.
