Not an OTR driver here, just a tax wonk. I'm not aware of any such provision. Lots of people hear lots of things about taxes. This is actually a pretty traceable one. Most of them start "My cousin's boyfriend's ex's maid's sister had a friend whose mother told her...."

Tell your husband to get the information about the issue of the magazine this appeared in. That should settle it.
